Root Phone will not root

Just used MetroNoob's stock back-up again to go to stock to finally figure out this stupid camera issue, but the damn phone just will not root.
I've rooted this back-up 3 times in the past month using the Linux files, but this time it's just not working. I've also tried the Windows version on Wincrap 7 but no luck. This last time I tried rooting I left the thing running for about an hour, but it never worked.

Are there any tricks to getting this phone to root properly or does anyone have a stock already rooted backup on hand?

My phone doesn't like stock ++ for some reason.

Anyway, I just figured it out as I'm typing this. Kept forgetting to run the file as sudo so adb could connect. Hopefully this root went through; it did the whole vibrating and restarting thing this time.

Edit: Yup, all good. Silly me.

Working on it right now. Checking if the camera records video after every change I make. It had to have either been caused by a specific bloatware app removed, messed up UOT theme, the Beats Audio thing, or something else. Hopefully I find it.
