Phone will not vibrate when recieved a text message.

So I just noticed today, that when I have my Epic on vibrate and I get a text message, my phone does not vibrate. I checked my vibratation settings and it is set to "vibrate only in silent mode" and my phone is in silent mode? Help please...

I tired the Sound Manager app, but it still did not make the phone vibrate when texts are received. I have the setting on "vibrate when in silent mode".

Yes. Should I use a different messaging app? Is it common for the stock messaging app to stop vibrating?

Launch the Messaging app, then: menu>Settings. Scroll to the bottom and select "Vibrate".

Okay thank you that worked! Now though, I really don't like the phone vibrating and the notification sound playing at the same time when not in silent mode when I get a text. Is there a way to set the vibration to turn off when not in silent mode, but turn on when in silent mode? Or do I just have to live with it? Thanks.
