Help Phone Will randomly stop recognizing music and audio files on sd card

I Recently purchased a samsung fascinate and I an also new to the android system. The problem that I am currently having is that my phone will randomly stop recognizing files on my sd card, it says the file is not able to be played. It also effects youtube playback. I have read that sometimes problems with these phone originate from apps installed so I installed two apps to see if they effected anything. They were an mp3 ringtone maker and alarm clock xtreme, it didn't fix problem. The ready of my apps either don't use music files or I don't have them using music files for notifications. This is getting annoying because I will miss calls or messages because the ringtone is no longer recognized. Turning the phone on and off will fix it temporarily. The apps I still have installed are:
Adone reader
Winamp - this was installed after the problem started
Tiny flashlight + led
Street view on google
Google maps
Wheres my droid
The weather channel
My verizon
Dolphin browser hd
Dolphin hd theme
google services for dolphin
Angry birds
Pay pal
bank of america mobile
Pandora
twitter
Facebook
advanced task killer
is this likely an app problem or possibly a phone problem? Any info our suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks, justin

I have an Epic 4G with the same problem. Its been vexing me for some time now. I not even convinced is related to the SD as it happens while using Slacker as well. I suppose if the stream is cached to the SD it could still relate to the SD.
Regardless its annoying and I can't seem to find any place that has identified this issue.
It seems to have persisted through the last Froyo upgrade.

I received the 2.2 ota update on thursday, immediately experienced massive battery drain. Followed the instructions on how to fix froyo thread and battery issue solved. It seems that the update had fixed my problem with the sd card recognition dropping out. It used to happen every other day, now it hasn't happened once.
