Help Phone will turn on, but won't load screens?

This evening I was checking my email on my phone (Motorola Droid) when my phone locked and wouldn't unfreeze.

I removed the battery in an effort to reboot.

Ever since when I go to turn the phone on the backlight will come on, but the Motorola symbol won't load, and no screens load, just the backlight comes on and the screen is blank.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I bought this phone from best buy mobile. If I can't fix it, do I need to take it to best buy mobile or verizon tech services?

Sorry to say your phone may very well be dead.

I am assuming you are not rooted. If not then take it to a Verizon store and if it is less than a year old you will still have the warranty on it and they will either get it working or replace it.

You could first try just leaving the battery out for several minutes and then try to power the phone on and see if that helps. If not, then follow the above advice.
