Help Phone wont boot help!! :(

just rooted it today, I installed rom toolbox and I changed the battery icon after it restarted it wont proceed past the initial samsung screen. ran clockwork mod recovery and restored to factory settings still no luck. how can I save my phone :\
 
indeed you are correct about it being a metro forgive my noobery I just got this phone about a month ago I just got fed up with all the metro crap on it, it was still in debugging mode when it messed up, how do I go about using the tar file? just run it from my comp with the phone hooked up? and it will push to the phone the same as the root and clockwork mod?
 
all restored and running again next paycheck you will be getting a donation for that tiede :D, do you know how I could go about changing the boot image along with the annoying boot sound without bricking the phone again? the only other thing I tried to change initially was the battery icon and the font I doubt it was either of those that caused it to crash but I could be wrong

actually it was see u can't use any of that stuff because u need a custom rom for it to run like basix is an awesome rom and if u use electric sheep the battery life increases. To 13 hours of life no BS I'm running it on mine and runs like a dream :D:D
 
The boot animation can be changed ive done it on my old indulge, also the boot up sound can be changed as well everything else ive never tried on the indulge.
 
Ive searched thru threads all day and havent had any luck. As soon as I plug the charger in it goes to the Samsung screen and stays. A couple of times it's gone past the hello hello hello and then shuts off as soon as the main screens pops up. It uasnt done that for hours tho. I have tried soft and hard resets to no avail. It just stays on the Samsung screen. I CAN enter download mode though. Idk what that means. Phone not rooted or anything. I really need help. It's been a whole day of searching for answers but it seems like if someone has a similar problem all that is ever suggested is recovery mode and it doesn't work for me. Thank u so much to whomever helps with this.

Hey, I'm not sure if you're still having problems, but doing an ODIN worked for me after all else failed. Here's a guide from XDA.
