Root phone won't boot into hboot

yes the phone is rooted
I have nill business gingersense rom on my phone
- i'm hitting down volume and holding power button
it will not boot into hboot
I'm trying to upgrade clockwork recovery 2.x to 3.x
i want to install nil rom v1.6

I guess I can buy ROM manager but this way is free. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm not sure why it's not booting into hboot but you should be able to flash the new clockwork from the free version of ROM manager.

Hope this helps. I gotta go play poker now.

Oh der ok thanks that did it :/ didn't think that would work for some reason.

Awesome. Glad it worked for you. Have you been able to get into hboot since? You should be able to from what I remember.

Thunderbolt roms have a "fastboot" option under settings/power. Having it checkmarked WILL prevent you from getting to hboot via power/volume down.

Might check your menu options and see if your rom has this same setting somewhere. I found it in my friends evo somewhere weird(privacy maybe?) So check your menu pretty thuroughly
