Root Phone won't charge when plugged into the computer?

My phone recently has stopped charging when plugged into my laptop. I have tried 3 different USB cables so i know that's not the issue. Also when I plug it in the screen lights up so I know there is some sort of connection going on, it just does not charge. Is there a setting somewhere on my phone that I'm not aware of to fix this?

I would uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

pull your notification shade down and click usb and try selecting charge only.

Nothing shows up in my notifications even when plugged in....it used to up until this week and now nothing is there.

You need to uninstall and then reinstall the device drivers.

definately a driver issue.

This also happened to me when my task killer was killing the Android OS' USB apk... if you use a task killer - make sure it is set to ignore this particular application!
