Root Phone won't deep sleep; terrible battery life

Haven't found an exact match for my problem in the search threads above...

My phone's battery life is trash. And seems to be getting worse. Samsung Skyrocket, running liquidsmooth 4.2...

I tried fixing the lack of deep sleep with Deep Sleep Battery Saver. Fully charged before I went to bed. I manually turn off data, put the phone on my desk. When I wake up, it's already well below 75%.

Is it unreasonable to think I shouldn't lose a quarter of my battery life when it's doing nothing, and is connected to nothing, and is incapable of any action which should be able to turn on the screen...?

Try a different kernel if any are available for your phone. Lack of deep sleep is most often a kernel level issue in my experience unless you can point to an obvious app issue that won't quit polling for data.

Have a look at GSAM Battery Monitor as well, that will tell you if a specific app is causing the issue.

Thanks! I've been using this for about a week now.

It seems the single most wasteful culprit is my go launcher. Maybe the widgets? Honestly, if I could have a single home screen show my next appointment, time, and a few apps, like my old blackberry theme, I'd be tickled pink!
