So my phone turned itself off yesterday totally ranomly,
when i tried to turn it back on again i just get the Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 splash screen that stays on forever.
(phone is a stock 3 (H3G) UK S2 with all stock updates on but nothing custom)
It responds to battery charging when off as usial,
so after trying all the normal stuff (battery out, sim out, wait 5 put back in.... soft reset, hard reset ect) im no further
Recovery mode (vol up home and power) dosnt seem to do anything it flashes the same logo once then goes black then back to the stuck on the original boot screen
but i can get into download mode with vol down home and power.
My phone has never been rooted had any other recovery installed etc and all the guides i can see for solving this problem (mainly by reflashing roms) seem to assume you allready have these,
or want you to do it via tools such as Goo manager,
all I have avalable to me at the moment is ODIN as the phone is otherwise a brick,
any suggestions, or links to walkthroughs?
--- I am a bit of a newbie to flashing phones, but quite technially minded ---
