Help Phone won't properly switch carriers?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 (unlocked) about two weeks ago so that I could switch over to a T-Mobile plan. I stuck my AT&T sim card in it so that I could still use the phone until I was able to switch over. However, when I did it it forced an AT&T Update and installed some definitely unwanted software. I just switched over to T-Mobile and did a factory-reset on my phone before inserting my new sim card. It still started with the AT&T logo while booting up, and still has all of the AT&T apps installed. I did another factory reset with my new sim inside of the phone and I got the same result. It has come to my attention that it also installed android market censorship software which I definitely don't want as well. I switched carriers, so is there any way to completely remove AT&T from my phone?

Check with TMobile (with a company store) and see if they (or any TMobile store in your area) does reflashing. If so, they can reflash your phone with TMobile firmware - assuming it was a TMobile phone to begin with. (If it was an international or AT&T phone, you can't flash a TMobile ROM to it.)

no, it is an ATT phone. simply unlocking it will not remove the apps that come installed on an ATT phone. Also, a factory reset will act the same, the phone is still the jflteatt, and it will have all the ATT bloat until you disable them.
