Root Phone won't reboot to Recovery

I tried through clockworkmod and manually and when I did it manually it asked me to erase and rest data, since I don't know what that mean of course I cancelled so fellas what do I do?

Be sure your connection is not on internet. Then go for it. The first time i did so, i left the connection set to internet and oops! Lol

Be sure to make a backup of your original ROM before making any further changes.

That's definitely not the problem.
 
it happened to me too,so i just use rom tool box,has a reboot widget,recovery,fastboot,and so on,or download a reboot app,ive rooted and the same for me,when i push the power button,no option for recovery,and the power button/volume deal ,i get the same about erasing ,so i use rom tool box,try it out.
 
I tried all that and it didn't reboot when I tried manually it asked me to erase something but I didn't do it and kept using the phone.
 
it sounds like mine,i dont hav the option wen i press the power putton but the rom toolbox worked n theres another app i hav it works to,it could b a bad dwnload and u might need to do a fresh all new dwnld and do it again,i kno it seems like a pain even though theres plenty of apps to make bkups,but its just the time and hassle of starting over,trust me i know the feeling,but as long as i can use a diff alternative to get to recovery,im fine with that until i feel like starting over,so thats my best guess is to redwnld it and do a fresh flash,let me kno,wat happens by the way wen u use rom toolbox or a app to reboot into recovery?
 
I tried that and it didn't work.

And did you mean just do the erase, when it ask after I restart my phone?
