Help Phone won't switch off

Hi. Over the last couple of days my Galaxy Ace 2 will not switch off while charging.

If I am not charging it will switch off, but the minute I plug the charger in it automatically switches itself on again.

If I take the battery out and replace it, the same thing happens when I plug the charger in.

Has anyone else had this? Does anyone one know how to cure it?

Hi, thank you for replying. When I eventually found driving mode, it was turned off. Any other ideas?

Thanks very much for trying. If you think of anything else, I'll happily try it.

Do you mean the phone won't sleep? Putting it into sleep mode is different to shutting down (aka "switching off"). Technically you should never need to switch off your phone. Only put it to sleep.

If it won't sleep while the charger is connected it's possible you, or someone else, has fiddled with the developer settings.

Press menu key >> Settings >> Developer Options >> Make sure "Stay Awake" is unchecked.

If you're still on Gingerbread I'm afraid the directions will be slightly different and I can't remember them. (Those were for Jelly Bean). However, I'm sure there are others who can tell you how to get there on Gingerbread.

Actually...

I THINK Developer options are under Settings >> Application Manager on Gingerbread.
