Help phone wont switch on

Hello, I have a problem with my desire.
The phone kept going into car mode and the power on button wouldn't unlock or lock the phone. I switched the phone off to do a factory reset and now it won't switch back on.
I have taken the phone apart but can't seem to find any problem any ideas.

Yes it charges just fine

Are you able to boot to Hboot by volume down + power? You might be able to do a factory reset from there.

But it really sounds like a hardware problem. Are you still under the 2 year warranty? If so, ship it off to HTC...

It won't switch on at all. I was told a year warranty, so I took it apart myself

Oh, crap!

As I understand it, the shop may only have a one year warranty but HTC offers two.

It's purely academic now, though...

So, the LED works, but nothing else? There's no chance only the screen is broken?

Are you rooted, S-Off?

I have no real clue, to be honest. Sounds like hardware, it really does.

No physical damage, and completely standard as its the wifes phone.
The baby did have it in her mouth though.
I think it might be the flexi cable board
