Phones locks during call. Annoying!!!!

So I know that there was a bug where you could answer a call through the lock screen but I am having an issue where whenever the screen goes dark with the proximity sensor, it locks the phone and I can't even change volume without sliding to unlock. I have to press a physical button for the screen to come back on and then slide to unlock to do anything!!! Anyone else have this issue? It just started today out of nowhere! I have not installed any apps recently. Any ideas would be appreciated?

from what I remember, this only happens when you go off of the phone screen. so if you make or answer a call and leave the phone screen to do something else then the phone will lock.

if it locks during a call, just unlock it. I was on a call today and I had to check the name of a app that I have to tell someone to get it. I was able to do that with no problems.
