Phones4U release date 27th April 2001

10 years ago? Sweet! ;)

I'll be sure to drop in next week. I'm undecided on which network to go with, Orange or O2 but I'm leaning towards Orange anyway.
 
I know where you are coming from, I spoke to about 4 different people on the live chat, they all stated to me it was guaranteed delivery for the 27th. However I called twice and both times they said 3 to 5 working days and I would receive it in the first week of May!

I think when calling they have to cover themselves properly as the phone call is being recorded, where as on the live chat you can't even email the chat you have just had to yourself because the button doesn't work.

Thing is they want to get as many orders in as they want and really don't give a monkeys if they give out false information, the most a customer can do is cancel an order. Typical customer service from big companies. I could be proven wrong though and receive the phone this week, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I read somewhere too that T mobile aren't offering the handset until June so could very well be an unlocked/unbranded version.
 
As per release dates South Korea was supposed to get the S2 on 25th Apr.....but I still don't see any such release news..so will UK date 27th be valid ?

I am still waiting for release dates in India.
 
Just noticed on Phones 4 U, you can no longer order the phone it just states "notify me". So looks like they have sold out of the pre order stock.
 
Just to follow up from my previous comment, P4U have now confirmed the opposite of what the person told me.

Anyone that pre-ordered should be on for dispatch tomorrow and delivery on 27th...........

The website changed as they had sold through all their pre-order stock, meaning some people may have to wait for a while to get their hands on it.

On a slight tangent, I am extremely excited about this phone and can't wait to get my hands on it! I've not watched any of the videos yet as I don't want to spoil it!
 
ive just pre ordered it today from P4U to replace my very rubbish lg km900

now all i have to do is wait for that parcel

and a quick question what storage will we be getting because there is no indication on the P4U website
 
Ordered mine today from P4U and he said it'll be here Wednesday

He did spend a while checking to see how much stock they had left and that was at 10:30am!
 
I ordered my Galaxy S2 from P4U last Thursday and they told me it was the 16gb version, I don't think Samsung have fully committed to producing the 32gb version yet.
 
Bloody pain, you would have thought Phones4U would be able to track your order in their system. Just been told they have no idea what is going on and when the phone will be dispatched. Being a bit impatient here I know but someone from Phones4U should know whether the phones will be dispatched today/tommorow/next month at least.
 
ive just found out now my SGII will arrive at 1pm today so i guess other preorder customers should recieve there phones today :)
 
I've not received my despatch email - so I contacted them, simply cos I'm not waiting in all day for something that's not coming, and they said my order is still awaiting despatch :(
 
I've just spoke to them, they said my order has been dispatched today and I will receive it in the next 5 working days. They can't give me a tracking number. Lieing out their teeth.
