P4U seem to be living up to their reputation. I was under the impression that normal pac code no. swaps should take under 48hrs with the average being 24hrs - This was set by some regulatory body as years ago it took a week or so, I remember it first hand, it was tosh.

When i called Orange they said that the sim has been "booked" for activation on the 19th.

I'm trying to get my head around them booking the activation. I don't get why they just don't do it immediately.

Surely it's in Orange's interest to get you using the phone as soon as possible.

Hi guys. can I assume that all the hassle with the activation, is due to the phone having a micro sim card?

Seems odd that providers send out the "new" sim card and don't activate it within 24hr of the customer receiving it.

no idea voda customers seem to have ti done straight away though so i assumed it was orange who delayed it

Nah I swapped my normal sim to a microfilm in my lunch, all done in 10 mins in the past.
