Photo gallery app

I hate the gallery that came with this phone! Liked the SGS4 one much better. It's there a gallery app that I could replace this one with? I tried a few but can't find one that I like. I want to be able to move pix to folders and make new folders like I could with the S4.

You can make new folders. Open the gallery and it is the folder icon with the "+" sign on it, top of the screen to the right. Name your new folder, mark all the pictures you want in there tap and hold any of the marked ones and drag them all in one go to the new folder. It will then ask if you want to copy them or move them.

At the top on mine if I touch the plus sign it wants me to make a movie

Have a look at QuickPic :)
So far I'm liking it BUT where do the pix go that I just took? I don't see a folder or anything that says camera like the old gallery that just holds your most recent pix you took. Then you can move them from there to the folders you want them in.

You don't have the folder icon with the plus symbol on it?

In that image i just posted, tap on the flower icon in the upper left corner and it will take you back one folder, rinse, repeat. :)

That is, if there is an arrow to the left of it.

If I use QuickPic's explorer mode I find the cam's pics on DCIM/Camera.

I just tried that and the pix I took with the stock camera are not there. I have to go back to the photo app that came with the phone to see them. I figured it would be like most apps and the camera folder would be the first one I see.

It's a .MOV file, because it is iOS produced, I can't get the native YouTube app to upload it. I hope it plays on whatever you view it with.

You'd sort 'By date descend'.

I watched it on my iPad it played fine. Ok that gallery app you used, isn't the photo app that I was looking at. It had a pinewheel icon. My app that looks like that has a lot of "broken" pix in it. A little gray box with a crack in it.

That's the stock gallery I was using in the video. Glad it played fine. Have you sorted it out yet? I was wondering if international Note 3 (SM-N9005) had differences in some of the stock apps. from the US versions, as well as different hardware.

This is what mine looks like (pinwheel app) well tried to attach a screen shot but it keeps telling me it's too big

Have you gone through the QuickPic settings to select the specific folders that display? It might not be registering the folder properly.
