Help Photos don't load on Kakeo since ICS update

Kakao actually (not Kakeo)
Quite a niche topic but it's very frustrating and I wondered if anyone else found this?
On Three network UK.
 
I've sussed it out. Basically uncheck 'don't keep activities' in developer options like another user advised here and it works.
