Help physical buttons sometimes don't respond

Does this happen to anyone else? Like sometimes one of the buttons won't work then after a few seconds it'll work again.

Yeah it happens to me too. I'm guessing from what I've seen it's a pretty known problem with a lot of peoples MT.

could be dust or something under the buttons, try some rubbing alcohol it's okay
it drys fast and techs use it to clean circuit boards. please make sure your device is fully powered down.;)

Doubtful that it's dust, this is a common problem across all ROM's. I've never flashed a ROM that didn't have this issue at some point or another. Usually after 10 seconds or so I'm able to tap them, though. Usually occurs with the Home button the most.

For me it is always the back button. I violently miss my Optimus V when it does.

Same here. The back button or the menu button are the two that for me.

I have found if you just keep tapping the button after 4-10 times it will work again. To bad hitting the back button 10 times in a row when it works exits whatever app is open.

When I took off the second screen protector, the non-responsiveness stopped at a high rate, all buttons works every time :D. The only time I had the buttons to not work was only when the system (android process) was busy.

Just for reference, I have a July 2011 phone.

I have a July phone and I had the stock screen protector off since day one and I've had major non responsiveness over the months I've had it...

What second screen protector? Mine had the sticky plastic when I took it out of the box.
