Help picasa upload problem with ics

just upgraded to ics and among other things that have stopped working, dissapeared or slowed down the google picasa upload has stopped working.
when i press upload to picasa it now says its unsble to retreive acount details.
i can still upload to youtube and also get my gmail emails which are all linked to the same account.
didn't have this problem with gingerbread. another anoying thing is the browser. when a web page has a picture in it (say on a forum) the picture moves when touched which makes scrolling a knightmare.
and the battery full beep has gone!
 
I have the same issue with Verizon Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4. Gallery app won't actually upload to Picasa after selecting Picasa option (looks like it starts, but just goes back to Gallery screen and no album created).
 
I'm having the same issue. I just updated to ICS a few days ago and now when I go into the gallery and pick Picasa from the Share via option, I get Failed to retrieve account information.

Every other Google service (Gmail, Google+, etc) works fine except this. A Google search didn't result in a solution.
