Help Picture messaging/MMS size

Can anyone explain to me why when I send pics to people they receive them in a really small size or vice versa? My camera is taking 1M pics.

im not an expert here. I think there is a limitation on how big a file size is when using the cellular network to send multimedia images. what you are seeing i think should be normal.

People receive them as almost a thumbnail. Others receive them in full size. Sometimes the person that receives in thumbnail receives in full size...I just dont get it.

Could also be the format of the picture Jpeg, Gif, Png etc... check that out and see

I only deal with jpegs and they are pics I am taking with the phone.

ok so has this happened since day one or has this happened recently?

are you rooted?

what carrier are you sending these photos too?

I will add in my two cents. My Sprint HTC Hero, after it was updated to Android 2.1 would always send and receive smaller pictures via MMS.

My wife's Sprint Palm Pre had no problems sending and receiving larger pictures via MMS. I have no idea what the difference was, but perhaps it is the same issue with the Sprint HTC EVO 3D.
