Help picture messaging problem?

So whenever I receive a picture mail, it shows the option to download but the download always fails. Why is this and how can it be solved? It does not let me see the pic or anything

Sounds like that problem they had with the Hero before 2.1. My advice... Download Handcent. Its so much better than the stock messaging app IMO.

Thanks for the advice! However, I just dl/installled handcent and when I use it to try and view my picture mail or download it, its giving me the exact same message.

Coming from the iPhone, I didn't realize that either. You have to turn off wifi.. kinda crazy to me, but there we are.

Does wi-fi need to be off to send a message? I've been having trouble sending picture messages via handcent, but I'm not sure if it's because of wi-fi or because of the recent app update.

For some reason the Epic 4G Touch can't send or receive MMS messages on WiFi I found this out after talking to sprint because I was having the same issue.
