Picture to Wallpaper

What's the trick to making a picture into your wallpaper? I have a picture that looks good and fits my M when I open it, but when I try to make it my wallpaper and crop it, it zooms in too big. Is there a trick or app that might here?

This is what I posted in the Motorola Forums:
"I finally beat the crappy wallpaper cropping algorithm at its own game. I had a picture 960X540 that I wanted as wallpaper, but the wallpaper process kept cropping just a small slice out of the middle even though the picture was already in the correct relative size. So I just loaded the picture into Photoshop Elements and doubled the canvas size while keeping the picture that I wanted centered. I saved this new image with loads of white-space surrounding the desired picture onto the SDcard. Then when gallery wanted to crop it, the crop was the picture that I wanted in the first place with all the extra canvas (white space) removed. Viola!"

I actually used QuicPic instead of Gallery to make the wallpaper from the white-space surrounded picture, but the process is the same.

Download the app Image 2 Wallpaper. Works like a charm. Take a pic from your gallery and it's wallpaper in no time without the cropping.

i used to have to back up quite some distance just to make my pictures fit the full screen. hope that app works for you.
