Help Pictures disappeared from phone :-(

I have been having the pictures disappear from my default gallery app as well (Droid Incredible with HTC sense with Android 2.3.4). I can restart and have my pictures back for about a day before they are missing again. I can find them on Astro if they're not in gallery. I installed quickpic and they're all showing up fine (while still missing in gallery)!

I would also suggest using a cloud backup such as dropbox, google's drive or box that can be set to backup pictures as you take them, only when you are on wifi or only manually. This way even if your phone takes a dive you'll have most if not all pictures already backed up.

I finally received ATT's 2.3.5 today (almost a year after it came out) and Android 3.0 when I went to retrieve a photo I'd just taken, the gallery widget wouldn't open.....so here I am and I unmounted the SIM, that did not work,so I went to quick pic and all photos returned. Thanks to 2manyPHONES for saving the day. I really do not care for this OS......it seems I accustom myself to one OS, set the phone up, love it, and here comes an update.....actually an 'uplate' since it was released in Dec 11. Thanks for the help. :)

I checked the web for a bunch of solutions. Downloaded Recuva from Recuva.com to "restore" my deleted files, for fear that my kid deleted all my pictures. However Recuva didn't find anything. So I found this post, and while searching, I plugged my phone into my laptop via the USB cable, in order to run Recuva.

I did a search on my SD-Card Drive, [E:] for *.jpg, sure enough it found all my pictures in the 100 Media folder of the E:\DCIM folder.

Confused as all hell, I backed up all my images to my laptop.

After I unplugged my phone from the laptop (via the USB cable) I checked my phone's gallery, to my pleasant surprise, all my images were restored. Nice!

Moral of the Story:
1) It seems you can plug into a computer via USB and unplug and that will restore your "not-so-lost" images.
2) When you do that, do yourself a favor, backup your stuff, just in case.

This was actually quite the scare, because I got the phone when I had my daughter, meaning its loaded with great baby pictures. I'm really glad I didn't loose them all.

As extra information, I've got a Droid Incredible 1.0 from HTC and it's been updating a lot recently, in case that matters.

Weird thing happened to my phone. I took some pictures about a week ago. They were in my gallary under camera shots. A couple of days ago I went to look at them and they were gone!!!! Do you think they are still somewhere and if so, how do I find them?
I have a Samsung note 2 as well...i had about 900 cam pics abd theyre all gone.
Uts an old phone and i live it...but Im really upset.
Did you ever find your pics??
