pictures dissapearing =(

I'm posting from my G1 right now n something went really wrong

All my pictures are gone. I open the pictures app and all I see are grey boxes with an exclamation mark (!) :(

I've rebooted the phone and they still won't show. I can't connect to a pc till I get home later tonight

Ideas ?

Yep music plays fine and I judt clicked one of these icons (the grey thing) and it opened a picture however folders are missing and about 100 other photos

Would deleting some cache files fix this? It seems all my G1 pix taken with the phone atill viewable but the thumbnails are broken. And my folders of other pics are hidden.

They are still on the sd card tho cus it shows the same ammount of disk usage still

Can you access anything on your SD card?

I was trying to find the folder on the SD where the cam pics are stored .. no luck ... the other day I needed one ... so the only way I could figure to get it was to email the pic from the "Picture" app-Feature that came with the G1...

Anyone help with it's location, I had the SD mounted and thought I looked in every folder ??? confused at the moment ..

Ok so I think there is something wrong with the device

I hooked up the card to my computer using an adapter and there were a ton of corrupted files

I formatted the card and now it wont even show up under the G1 as usable....

I did format it to NTFS from FAT32, was this a mistake?

Anyhow, anyone explain the corrupted files I found? one file claimed it was 200+GB in size....

same thing happened to me a few days ago, all my pictures are still viewable, but the thumbnails are greyed out with an exclamation icon on them. i've got an 8 GB card.

That has something to do with the SnapPhoto app. The original camera software images are OK, but the SnapPhoto ones go gray as mentioned above and can't be opened on PC.

Turns out it is my SD card. It was deleting things, turns out its got a bad sector or something, the card is no longer functional. Just thought I would add to the thread incase someone finds it
