I don't.I've had it happen several times as well. Do you use a wallpaper switcher by any chance? I'm not sure if that's the problem, but I'm trying to determine if it's an app or the phone.
I did have the nomedia file, Im wondering if the pics were getting overwritten because of that file. I have deleted it, we shall see if this helps. This sounds a lot like the problem I am experiencing.
Thing is the images I have downloaded or taken with my X are not deleted, they just do not show in the Gallery or other media viewers, but the files are still on the SD card itself if you use File viewer to locate them.
If that is the case i've been informed that there may be a folder called NoMedia created on the SD card which is causing the problem. I know I have the folder since I created it not long after getting the X to store images I did not want to show in the Gallery (guess it works overtime!) so by deleting that folder you should be good. I can't get access to the file system from work so have yet to try it but shall do so when I return home.
Actually, would a system reboot/restore lose all my files or just return the Phone to it's default look?
That seems like when my pictures were deleted as well. i think it does have something to do with connecting to computer.I took a bunch of pictures with my droid x. when I plug my phone into my computer my phone deletes pictures from my gallery. The phone exported some of the pictures into a folder in my pictures in windows. Those are the pictures that are still on the phone. The others are lost. This has happened multiple times so I tried a factory reset and reformatting the sd card. Neither thing fixed the problem. If anyone can help I would really apprceiate it. Thanks.
