Pictures have disappeared

It would seem that all my pictures have decided to hide from me. Earlier I booted into recovery to make a nand backup and now, my photo app says that it cannot find any photos or videos. I know that they are there because I can go into eStrong and they are sitting there clear as day. So my question is how can they be there yet not be there?

Following the nand backup, did you wipe and then use "recover" to boot into the backup?

Or did you just make the nand backup and then boot back into your usual operating system?

I just made a nand backup then booted back into the OS. There was no wipe or anything else. At first I thought it might be the rom, but I flashed a nand backup of a different rom I have from a few days ago and it's doing the same thing.

At first I thought your stock photo app was corrupted and I was going to suggest you backup your pics in the file manager and clear cache and data and reboot, etc, but you say the same thing is happening with a different ROM?

When you use your file manager to see the media, what is the path to them?

Also, are you using apps2sd?

the path to the pictures is (viewing in estrong) /sdcard/dcim/100media

I'm running xtrROM 4.5
