Help Pictures Not Appearing in Gallery

I've recently experienced an issue with my Gallery. There are a certain number of pictures that do not appear when accessed though the Media/Gallery App. I've verified that they are on the SD Card and I can see all of them when using Astro or PC Companion.

Can anyone help me by telling me how to get the pictures back and how this might have happened in the first place? I don't know if it matters but my PLAY is rooted as well.

I've figured out how to correct this issue but, it still happens randomly. It seems to only happen after I connect to my PC. The only way I've been able to fix it is by removing the battery for awhile.

I will try it out (although I have never connected it to my PC). How long is 'a while'? Oddly enough, while pictures are still missing, I noticed today that my most recent picture shows twice. I hadn't seen that before.

There could be a couple of things causing this issue. However you may want to update the software and if that does not work, backup and format the memory card.
