Pictures/smileys when typing

Hello guys,
I have the z1 and my friend has z1 compact, when I type after certain words pictures sometimes come up in suggestions but on my friends it doesn't. Things like this, if I type up 👆 is suggested, lol 😁 is suggested, keyboard 🎹 is suggested. Just curious if anyone knows why this might be. We are both on build. 757 so can't figure out what else would be different.
Also on another note 📝 if they run the same builds and he were to root his would he just download the same ROMs as I would?

Are you both using the same keyboard/messaging apps?

Also, the internals are slightly different so the ROMs would be different too.

Yea both using the standard keyboard. Strange one, just thought I'd see if anyone knew why.
Yea thought they would be but just thought I'd check seeing as they seem to use the same build numbers on firmware. Thanks
