Pin wont work!!! please help!!

Hi there, I put a new pin number on my phone yesterday, it was 2222... I know it was!! but it wont work! I am going so crazy here, there are so many photos of my son on there that cant be replaced so I cant restore it. What can I do? Please help
 
Hi, no it hasnt :( Ive seen other posts about gmail password recovery but ive tried about 50 times and not done anything new yet :(
 
a friend has told me to reset using the main menu button and the power button. But that doesnt seem to work either. Will that lose my pics?? thanks for your help by the way :)

Are the pics stored on your SD Card? If so, a factory reset won't touch them, but you will lose all your app data. I'm not sure with the Galaxy S, but most phones will need to press the Power and Volume down button in order to get into recovery (this is while the phone is off). From there, you should be able to do a factory reset.
 
After some searching around I appears that not every phone will give you the option to enter your gmail credentials to unlock the phone.

The first thing you should do is remove your SD card and put it into another phone or computer to verify your pictures are there. The camera should have stored them there by default. This will at least give you some peace of mind about the pictures.

Is your phone rooted? If it is depending on what you have done, we may have another option here.

If not, your only option is really to call your carrier's customer service and see if there is a different way to unlock their specific build of android since gmail login doesn't appear to be present on your phone.
