Root Plain Jane, Battery Drain?

I've been reading the threads to root for weeks now and finally took the plunge. I'm perfectly happy with the results except for one thing; my battery is usually dead by noon and sometimes I hardly even use the phone. I will go into my apps killer and there are open apps that I didn't open. I'm guessing this is the cause for the drain. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
 
I run Plain Jane and have had mixed results with my battery drain. Typically I have had excellent battery life. This past weekend I had a tremendous charge that lasted about 20 hours with moderate use.

Then yesterday (after a full charge over night) my battery power dropped like crazy. I'm glad I had my charger with me. I charged it for only a half hour, then it held up better.

Perhaps I have a battery issue. Looking into the 1700 extended battery.
 
I had a recent version of plain jane as well and it seemed to drain my battery as well. I switched to ivans official eris 1.0 and my battery life increased greatly.
 
I got setcpu and no matter what I did, the battery kept going up to 100* so I switched to Ivan eris official and it's great! I went from getting about a half a day with very little phone use, to a full day with a lot of use.
