Planetary Photography

Do you need a filter to get a picture of Mars that apparently close to the Moon on your phone? Here in Boston MA Mars looks like it's a little finger away from the moon.
 
I know on the pixel 3 and 4 and maybe the upcoming pixel 5 they have astrophotography mode which takes decent pictures of the stars and moon occasionally. Any phone camera is going to be limited on picture quality. I say invest in a decent telescope ($50-$150 should work) use the telescope to maximize zoom and focus for a possible better picture, not sure if any filters will help, they might

Did you guys know earth almost got hit by an Asteroid on Friday the 13th, perfect day for ........ Nasa and them didn't find out about it until 15 hours after it passed Earth ......... you can see throughout the Galaxy and Universe but you can't see this big A** rock hurdeling towards us :oops:

Well, there are zillions of rocks millions of different sizes on zillions of trajectories all over the universe and each is one space mosquito fart away from being on a near miss course for Earth.
