plantronics backbeats 903+ & galaxy nexus... can't pair

Just bought a set of the 903+'s for use on my nexus. I can't get them to pair on Bluetooth. Following the instructions I turn on the power with the led flashing red and blue and have the phone new search for The headset... keeps saying connecting.

My current Motorola s10-hd paired and work no problem... only that the hurt my head... too tight a fit.

I'll expand this post more when I get home from work...
