Help Play Store App Stopped Working (AT&T)

I was in the hospital for about a month when my app stopped working. One dayit wanted to update all of my apps over 4G so I panicked. I was stopping each app from updating one by one but as soon as I did it would start updating another one. I went into the app and changed settings to "only update over wifi". Now that I am at home recovering, with WIFI the app will not open. It will open for three seconds tops and then force close. I already tried powering off my phone and restaring it. I tried clearing the memory and stopping all running apps. I also tried clearing the cache for the play store under apps. The app will not work at all anymore and it wont let me download new apps or update any other apps. How do I fix this problem??

I really didnt want to pay for any overages because it would have been way more than what I pay for my data plan.
 
Got this from doing a Google search. I don't know if it'll fix your problem but worth a shot.

"try going to your application manager, then scroll to the right to all apps, go to the very bottom and see if downloads is at the bottom if it is enable it and see if that helps"

yep that fixed the problem immediately. I just now did that. I'm still recovering so I haven't really had the energy to do much. I haven't been able to download or update anything. I thought I would have had to do a factory reset and I was really dreading that. Thanks for taking the time to help me. YOU'RE AWESOME.

It's ok. You're not alone. Many people don't scroll past what they can't see thinking they're already at the end of a list.
You'll come across this often, especially when you hit the menu button.

Glad I was able to help and hope you're recovering.
