I'm temporarily in a location where the app store is blocked. In fact *.google.* is blocked. Is there a safe way to get an authentic version of the app? In particular I need Skype (for US). Going to the skype site gets redirected to the country's skype site, and attempting to download from there tries to open the play store (which is blocked).
I have read numerous threads where the advice given was to use play store. While I agree with the advice in general terms, what should one do if it's not possible?
