Play Store Update

Google updates can be frustrating. I will never be a fanboy, but Apple does send out their updates all at once....

If you haven't used it yet your not missing anything in my opinion. But, that's up to u to decide.I have the update on my s3 but I'll keep the older version on my n7 for as long as possible

prefer the older version, if for no other reason than the "my apps" section didn't have icons 2x larger than they really need to be.

No playstore update for my n7. All other devices in my home got it even Ebay Android mini PC LOL ( the one you plug in Hdmi port on your TV)

don't really care for it

I got it (stock rom) and its really nothing more than a UI change. I certainly wouldn't take the time to install apk's etc to get it.

I can honestly say it made no difference to my experience.

I want the old one back - the new one has sacrificed readability for style.

Which idiot thought grey on white was a good choice for small, fine text?

I don't care about the way it looks, the main reason I want it is because it finally has an "Update 1" button. I can actually do the update with one click when there is only one app that needs updating. The old play store will give you an "Update 2" or "Update 3" button, but not "Update 1".

This is especially useful, because when I click on the app, about 3/4 of the time the page for the app says "Update? What update? I don't know anything about an update."

So far, I only have the new play store on my Galaxy Camera - it hasn't shown up on my Nexus 7 or my phone.

Uninstall Updates from the app page and it will roll back to the version your tab shipped with.

Are you rooted? you can flash an alternative "dark" version which makes it so much easier to read:

My comment was more rhetorical than real, although I still can't get my head around the madness of choosing to use small, low-contrast text in the new one making it close to illegible for some users.

That said I don't use it enough to let it annoy me into action, so when I do I'll just continue to mutter darkly under my breath about the madness of allowing marketing morons to override app usability for those with less than optimal eyesight.

I just noticed that the new play store has shown up on my Nexus 7 (with no action at all on my part), now I just need it on my phone.

I like the old one better too. I do have a back up, but is there a way to have it NOT auto-update? I have don't auto-update checked in its settings, but I guess that applies to all apps except the Playstore :(

i got it on Monday but i prefer the old version. Anyone else have a bug when you first open the play store (after a while) that the icon on the top left is the default icon but quickly changes to a holo icon?
