playing mp3's from the web

[paddysheeran]

hi there,

just got my HTC Desire yesterday and after a quick play had the following issue. I buy a lot of vinyl for djing and therefore like to browse online vinyl stores for new releases. Most of these sites have mp3 samples that when clicked open Windows media player and then play the sample. While browsing these sites on the Desire when i click on the MP3 icon nothing happens. Is there anyway to get round this problem so the files will play once clicked?

thanks,

Paddy.

Press and hold the link until a menu pops up and select "Save Link". This should then download the .mp3 file for you and you will be able to play it.

I've had a similar bit of trouble with websites that use flash to play samples - Juno doesn't seem to work properly which is annoying, but i think you can still listen to MP3 files there which is a workaround, at least.
