Help Playlist/Music fiasco

I cannot for the life of me find a simple way to do this.

I want to upload a Zune playlist (already converted to m3u playlist) to the SD card on my phone so I can just play it as is instead of manually going through my entire music collection on my phone and adding songs one by one to a playlist.

For some reason, once I copy the m3u playlist to my SD card, the only songs that show up in the playlist are whatever songs are already loaded onto my SD card.

Do I really need to load every song that will be on the playlist separately onto my phone before using the playlist? Is there a way to do this all at once and get all the songs, as a fully functional playlist, loaded onto my SD card?

I've tried looking up some answers and it seems really complicated to an Android newbie like me. There are manual instructions on creating these playlists and re-routing paths and using other music playing apps and I don't even know where to start! Help, please? :)

What OS are you using? You can manage playlists/media on Windows using WMP. If you're using Linux, you can use Rhythmbox. In either case, it's a very similar setup as iTunes.

Managing my music on my PC is fine, it's getting the playlists onto my phone where I run into trouble. But for the record, I usually use my Zune software on a Windows PC. I've already read that .zpl doesn't work with Android easily, so I've made a .m3u copy of my playlist on my PC that I want to get on my phone. I opened it with WMP on my PC and it works fine, all the songs show up. When I upload the .m3u playlist to my phone, the playlist will show up on my SD card and on the stock media player, but the only songs that are shown within the playlist are songs that have been transferred to my phone already.

So for example, if I had Bohemian Rhapsody uploaded to my phone previously, but not Killer Queen, then only Bohemian Rhapsody shows up as being within the playlist. Killer Queen is nowhere to be seen. :(

Do I need to find each individual song I want for the playlist, upload all those to my SD card, THEN upload the playlist? Or is there a way to do that all at once when I upload the playlist?

You need to manage the playlist with the WMP. In WMP, "Sync" the m3u playlist you created. This will copy all the songs and the playlist to the device for you.
