playstation 3 controller on prime

I don't know about the playstation 3 controller, but I have used a corded xbox 360 with success. It worked with both grand theft auto 3, as well as the snes9x emulator.
 
works perfectly with usb cableon the prime for some games and works well with emulators using the ubs joypad application ont he market.

if you want it to work via bluetooth you will need to root your prime and use other applications found on the market to sync it.

This isn't true anymore with the latest updates. Just first use the cord to attach the PS3 controller to your dock. Press the PS home button on the controller. The leds will all blink nonstop. disconnect your usb cable and look for the controller under BT (make sure it is on first). Then game away. I use it wirelessly for Shadow Run THD and Ripetide (to name a few) all the time now. I am not rooted at all.

Actually I am able to use my ds3 with my prime with the latest update.

If you have a dock it is a lot easier to connect but it is possible if you don't have a dock
