I won't claim to have a whole lot of experience in PSX emulators for Android, but for the brief period I did mess around with them the best one I found in terms of speed and such was FPse for android.

The emulator appears to support .img, .iso, .bin, .cue, .nrg , .mdf and .Z disc image formats and you will need a bios file.

It is a paid app ($3.95 as of the time of this post)

Do keep in mind that I haven't really followed PSX emulation for awhile, so at this point there might be some better alternatives, let us know what you try and your results.

FPse is the way to go, thanks for the suggestion. Also to run it you'll need to download PS1 rars that contain the .bin and .cue files (found@ emuparadise.com) same as on PC's. I created a ps1 ROM folder on the sd and just copied my files from my PC (i use psxe on my PC) to my sd. Then in the select bios option on the FPse select the folder that the files are in, then select the .bin file and presto! Its really that easy, games play pretty well too, hardly if any skips/lag, resolution is awesome on the screen, touch screen controls can get a lil sensitive while in landscape, other than that I'd give the overall app a 9/10.

Thanks again

Edit: only downfall is ps1 games tend to be around (most of the time over) half a gig plus the space used for mem card saves. So you'll need a decent (16/32 gig) sized sd card if you wanna have a few games to play through.
