Please Correct Me If I'm Wrong! Partitioning SD

From what i've been reading and seeing in peoples screen shots.... it is possible to convert SD storage to internal memory? I remember a post of a screen shot of a guys desire(not sure if he had Desire HD, if he did he was in wrong forum thread lol) but he had 1gb of internal memory. So is it possible to do this?

<-----this face makes me el oh el

Probably DanFrance, who's using a recent development called Data2SD. That's not common yet - it's still developing, and a little more involved than some to apply (fast SD card also strongly recommended). You should be able to find more about it in the root subforum.

There's also the standard Froyo apps->SD, which allows part of some apps to be moved to SD, and the older but more powerful version often referred to as A2SD+, which allows you to use an ext3 partition on your card for app storage (moving a bit more of the app, and also allowing you to run apps that have widgets from SD, unlike the Froyo version). This latter, like Data2SD, requires root. You can find an FAQ about this in DanFrance's sig.

Thanks for the quick response dude. That brings me to my next question-is A2SD+ a downloadable app on the market or is it incorporated in ROMS?

Yes thats me. Data2sd. I'd recommend staying away from it until you're more familiar to be honest.

For now, apps2sd+ would be sufficient. But I think you're already working on this ;)
