Please do not Bump this thread....

I think I figured out whats wrong with me. They sure don't make kids movies like this anymore. Creepy.

Yeah, that movie scared the HELL out of me as a kid.......In a good way:D (And yeah, already on record agreeing; Jim Henson was the best, complete with an often overlooked dark side)

As with movies, they don't make parents quite the same any more, either. My brother and I have a laundry list of movies we both agree we were too young to see (at the time); Alien, The Shining, The Deer hunter, The Thing..................The Jerk. (Thanks for that one in particular, Mom and Dad......Nightmares for weeks.);)

In a massive overcompensation, my brother is raising my 4/7 YO Niece and Nephew with no video display of any kind in the house. They (formally) saw their first ever movie the other night. And "Finding Nemo" freaked 'em out. I hate to think how they will be affected in their early twenties, when they finally see something as disturbing as Bambi.

"C'mon, Bro.....It's your JOB to teach them how to run with scissors!"

"You need to warp them, like Mom and Dad did for us" Is not the kind of comment which is welcome by all at the extended family dinner table........But I can see the little ones warming up to their Uncle; Curious about the dark side!

I say, kids need to be exposed to things that go THUMP in the night.

(True story, hand to heart), and not all that long ago:
Remember vividly in school when "Mr. guest star science guy " came to the class to impress all of us tykes:

He took a shiny pile of freshly minted pennies, and "plated" them all with liquid mercury, no foolin'.
Each of us got to leave the class room, with our very own, oddly silver colored, and slippery as hell...... Lincoln.

I was still young enough to be suckin' my thumb.........Might account for why I keep THUMPING my head all the time.

Hmm. I still don't think I understand this thread.
It says "Do not Bump this thread" but everyone seems to be bumping it?
Am I missing something?
Is this one of those young kids hip kind of thing?
#Sigh

What about moon walking, electric slide, dead bugging or twerking (Full disclosure: I'm not really sure what that last one is, I just heard it used on one of them young kids TV show)
