Hi, I'm ANGEL EYES and I'm interested in the SAR rating for the HTC Desire HD which I am interested in. I like all the things you can do with a phone these days. Can someone tell me if they know the SAR rating and what you think of the phone? I'm new to Android and I'd like as much information as I can get. Thanks!

Welcome to the Android Forums!

It does not look like HTC has noted the SAR rating on the new HTC Desire HD.

I just received my Desire HD. The back of the box says: SAR .826 (head), .437 (body). Acceptable max levels are USA 1.6, CN 1.6, Europe 2. Hope that helps. Just for comparison the Nexus One is .823 (head), 1.39 (body).

I have NO idea what you guys are talking about so...

Hello and Welcome to Android Forums!!

We are talking about the radiation level the phones give off. It's called SAR. The Desire HD is low, and a very good choice for anyone looking to get a top of the line Android phone. I love mine.
