Help Please help! gmail, FB issues, very frustrated!

Hello everyone,
So I have my new DInc for about 3 weeks now and am getting very frustrated. It seems like every few days I'm getting error msgs when trying to open my gmail or facebook homepage. This time, it has been since yesterday, almost 24hrs.
the gmail error:'the application gmail has stopped unexpectedly'. I've read other posts and have shut down multiple times, removed the battery, gone into apps and cleared cache... nothing worked.
I recently installed advanced task killer at the suggestion of friends. is this really needed?

the other error I get is when trying to access the FB homepage.

Can anyone help and offer advice? I'm thinking maybe am just not cut out for high tech gadgets. thanks!
 
No Task Killer needed for Foyo, doesnt really work w/ froyo, lots of other tweaks you can do to improve bat life,, best thing is to buy seido 1750mh battery, 2 days on one charge for me, Huge difference.
for your gmail try this,
go to,
menu/settings/applications/manage applications/gmail/clear data
I see you cleared cache, but you didnt mention data.
I am rooted w/ skyraider and had that same problem, after some advice from the forum, I was told to try clear data, and it worked for me, no problems.
For your FB Im not sure, if you can clear data for fb I would try that as well.

Thank you so much! I cleared data (was kind of unsure about that at first) but it worked. I can now access my mail. I also removed the task killer. FB issue just seemed to correct itself a few minutes.

well again, your kindness is very much appreciated. I have a feeling it will be a very long time before I'm helping others with any type of tech advice. You may find me on here again looking for help...
