Help Please help: How to stop Verizon OTA update?

Hi guys,

Bought an LG Vortex today. Succeeded in rooting it. But, soon after, Verizon sent out an OTA update. I managed to push the update to tomorrow.

Is there a way to avoid future notifications, since I don't plan to update to Android 2.2.1?

Thanks for all the excellent posts. I have been entertaining myself for the past 4 hours.
