PLEASE help me get back my wifi after update

Sorry for double posting/starting a new thread, but i'm really starting to miss my wifi now.

I basically did the same thing that I did when I debranded my phone.

You need a goldcard (Lekky has a guide on his website) then I installed the
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe from RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.ex - xda-developers

I said it was from Modaco earlier which was my mistake.

I suspect if your phone is already a generic one then you can just download the zip from that thread and follow;

Hello,

Did you de-brand your Desire yourself the last time? By way of creating a goldcard and putting it in your phone before installing the new ROM?

Do you still have a copy of that goldcard image? (It's a file in a .img format.)
If you do, and to use it, you will have to use the SAME microSD card that you used as the gold card when you de-brand you phone the last time. Otherwise, you will get the incorrect CID message.

Yep, i debranded it myself using a Goldcard.
Annoying thing is i have five smaller micro sd cards and they have all been formatted....GRRRR

So i'll probably have to create a few before i get the right card.
 
All sorted now, the Goldcard i had created just wasn't working.
Eventually managed to create a good one and it all worked fine.
Wifi now working.
