Help PLEASE HELP ME ROOT! galaxy 4s sch1545

Hi I am new to this whole rooting phone thing. And i was wondering if somebody could point me in the right direction on how i go about doing so.... Your help would be greatly appreciated. Ive looked for other forums but none seem to be the same model as mine. am i looking in the wrong place?

What firmware is it running? You can find this in settings>More>About Device. What is needed is the baseband version.

Verizon's NK1 is a tricky firmware to root as it requires you to flash an older, stock, kernel before you can successfully root.
