Please help! mobile broadband problem!

hello guys! for some reason my galaxy note's mobile broadband isnt working at all... the upload arrow(green arrow) keeps on lighting up but the download arrow(orange arrow) never comes on. I am on Orange network I ask their guys at the store and they tried everything and it still doesnt work... call, sms and wifi are working fine but its just mobile broadband that its having problem with... I bought this phone in Hong Kong as I live there but now im back in the UK for education, when I was in Hong Kong I had edge as the broadband signal and it was working fine. SOOOO PLEASE guys help me out

What symbol is showing? E, G, H or H+? I'm also on Orange and their data coverage in my area is disgraceful. I've just tested it and I'm getting 0.04Mbps down and 0.03Mbps up. Half a mile away I get 6Mbps down and 5Mbps up.

Are you getting nothing at all?
