Help Please help new droid user

First off, hello to everyone I'm new to the site and a new android user.

I just picked up the droid x and I love it so far. I have been searching this forum for some ideas and I have to say it's great forum. I really would like to get the htc clock theme on my home screen. If anyone can tell me how to get that any any other must haves would be great. Also the guy at the Verizon store showed me how to root my phone and put barnacle wifi tethering on. This is a amazing feature and love the fact I can use my ipad and laptop with wifi via my phone. My question(s) for this is it for sure I won't get charged for using this and also how do I make it a secure line for just me and no guests.

Any help would be great and I look forward to being involved with this forum.

they have all that Sense-like stuff in there like that HTC clock you want. And I'm really surprised the salesman showed you how to root your phone and do free wifi tethering, as the root can be used to break your warrenty, and they have a pay wifi tethering app they would much rather you use.
