Help Please help! No 4g

Earlier today was stuck on 1x all day, tried all the simple tricks (airplane mode on/off and just toggling mobile data on/off) and nothing. I even updated my PRL and rebooted. I have 3g now, just ran a speed test and had 13kbs down.. I have 4 bars, and normally always have 4g coverage in my area especially at home. Haven't seen/heard anything on the network being down.

If anyone knows anything please help.
 
This exact thing is happening to me right now. I used to get 4G ALL the time at home, but lately only get 3G, and the few times I get 4G, it doesn't feel anywhere close to the 1.5Mbps I used to get all the time before.


In the past, I had to call Metro and ask for a push data refresh that seemed to help, but not anymore.

Currently on West Palm Beach, 33463.
 
I'm in st.pete 33782, and yeah I used to have 3-4Mbps down almost all the time. Then some days I wouldn't even be able to get my data to turn on. But thought that was because my old esteem was just malfunctioning and I just got this one yesterday so should be working fine unless it's the network.
 
I know of 3 or 4 people in Texas and New York having the same problem. Its something on Metro's side.

Yes. Metro is doing maintance in some areas through out the nation. They're preping for VoLTE.

update to prl 3026, if you have 3G evdo launched in your area, you'll be on 3G.

Otherwise, you'll have to wait till maintance is complete. Which they don't keep towers down for long.
 
I would try going to a previous prl. I had the same problem and I downgraded to to 22 and I'm getting my same speeds again
 
Really weird didn't think maintance would last this long (if that's the problem) this is ridiculous. I actually had 4g back for a couple hours, then back to 3g and I wanted to throw my phone. Trying to get a hold of Metro to ask if there is maintance in my area or do I need to replace this phoen again... We all know how that goes. I may try downgrading my PRL, how would I go about doing that?
 
Dial *228 and then wait for the intro to stop and open your key pad and hit 5 and it will update it. When its done updating say "No" then it will hang up and when you hit next on the screen your phone will reboot and youll be on prl 3026
 
I've had the same problem. I had 4g and lost it since Friday...they tried a reboot and updated to 3026 and no 4g only 3g. They are ordering me a new phone...I will see if that works...Sometimes I can't connect at all to Metro's network, whether 3 or 4g!

I am on prl 3026 someone suggested maybe rolling back my prl, but I don't think that's the problem. I know it's not maintance on the network anymore because I have 2 friends with the same phone with 4g all the time like I used to have. So looks like it's time for another wonderfull trip to the metro corp. store. yay! :rolleyes:
 
Wow. It seems that this problem is occurring too often . Well anyways. This actually helps get your 4g back without having to trade in the phones or factory reset..

Then after it downloads and installs, go home screen and create a shortcut >then select > activities > and then select the "any cut" app. After that it'll send you to the app and from there you have to press on "activities" option and Scroll down until you see "LTE configuration" (its mostly the first one that starts with LTE). Then as you select that it will have created a shortcut action on the home screen. You then go to home screen and look for the shortcut you have created, it'll be called *lte configuration*. Open it and then press on setting initialization. Now, it will reset your lte settings and the phone will reboot. After that you should be able to be running 4g nice and clean...
